BV² in Apple Mac

BV² is developed to run on Windows computers. Currently, there is no version developed to run on MAC´s own operating system. However, there are ways to run Windows programs on a MAC, see below

Intel-based MAC

As newer MACs use Intel processors, they can run Windows and Windows applications as fast as a PC. Several different methods are available for running Windows on an Intel MAC:
  • To dual boot between OS X and Windows, use Apple´s Boot Camp. This is the most compatible way to run Windows software, but it does not allow running Windows and MAC OS X simultaneously.
  • To run Windows in a virtual machine within OS X, use Parallels Desktop, VMware Fusion, or VirtualBox. This method allows you to run MAC´s OS and Windows simultaneously. A virtual machine is not as compatible as dual booting.
  • To run Windows applications without installing the Windows operating system, you can use a compatibility layer. One such is CrossOver Mac. This option typically offers good functionality for a limited set of Windows applications.

PowerPC-based Mac

To run Windows and Windows programs on a MAC with a PowerPC processor, a hardware emulator is installed. The hardware emulator works by mimicking hardware within an application. When you run a PC program in compatibility mode, the program translates the commands into commands that the MAC understands. In this way, you can run many PC applications. Unfortunately, using this method is much slower than a PC or a MAC with a virtual Windows. An example of a hardware emulator is
