Here is some data about today's complexity and scope of BV².
BV² (version 2017.9.7) consists of 121 million characters of code. 77 million of these are pure calculation code. The rest is code describing the appearance in menus.
BV² consists of 6,055 subroutines, where the largest is 161,509 characters in size.
BV² has 309 menu window classes.
BV² has 1,436 property classes, totaling 6 million characters of code.

Those who have subscriber licenses for BV² get direct access to new features that are continuously added. Many of these functions are requested and added according to user wishes. When BV² has a certain number of new features or after a certain time, the designation is changed to a new version that can then be purchased with a non-time-limited license.

BV² quickly adapts to changes in regulatory requirements. New BBR requirements are continuously incorporated. We also try to introduce help to make it as easy as possible to see how the building's properties match the set requirements.

Some of the new features in BV2 2016 are:

- SVEBY's standardized climate files, with options for degree-day display of selected climate.

- Calculation of monthly power requirements.

- Ability to view the temperature at all points in the air handling unit.

- Ability to utilize heat from domestic hot water usage for the building and to have domestic hot water needs that vary throughout the year.

- Calculation of complex variations of return air and double heat exchangers.

- Ability to simulate a basement without having to create a separate zone for it.

- An Undo function with unlimited possibilities to revert to previous versions of your building.

- Display of heat energy distribution with sewage losses.

- Specific energy according to BBR requirements.

- Heat balance with various subdivisions.
